KENN STARR - "Say Goodbye" + "Square One" LP Stream

Kenn Starr is an integral part of the Low Budget crew (which also includes Kev Brown, Oddisee, Sean Born, etc.) and his latest album "Square One" is ample proof of his talents as a writer and emcee. The single "Say Goodbye" is a good example of what you'll find on the album as Starr reflects on his career and the industry over a signature Black Milk banger. "Square One" is available from retailers such as UGHH now, and you can also stream the entire album for free via the official Bandcamp page (where you of course also can purchase a HQ download). [Album] JAMAL BUFFORD - "Victim Of A Modern Age: The Instrumentals"

Last year, Jamal Bufford (p.k.a. Buff1) released his much acclaimed solo album "Victim Of A Modern Age". Now Bufford have given Mello Music Group the go-ahead to release the complete instrumental LP for free download. While it's obviously missing the essential vocal performances the production by 14KT, Buff1, Slot-A, EvillDewer, and Doc Illingworth is actually evolved and complex enough to stand on its own as an enjoyable listening experience. Jamal Bufford, a.k.a. Buf1, has been a name that has driven the underground hip-hop game forward but I really have to admit that it was his "Crown Royale" project with DJ Rhettmatic that for real really grabbed my attention. Now signed to MelloMusicGroup, the Michigan rhyme sayer hooks up with fellow MMG producer 14KT for his latest sinngle "Loser" that premiered earlier on Urb.com today.

Highly skilled writter and lyricist Jamal Bufford (p/k/a known as Buff1) has released several fat singles and projects since he hooked up with Mello Music Group. Now the Black Opera member is back with a brand new full-length project on the label, "Victim Of A Modern Age". In usual order when it comes to MMG releases, the label provides fans with the entire 14 track project for free streaming via Bandcamp, and as I just started listening it sounds like more of the typical Buff1 freshness many of us have come to love. Throughout the album, which is produced by the likes of 14KT, ZO!, Slot, and more, he touches on topics relating to his own and other personal struggles in the modern age - "in a way we're all victims, but the job of living is to rise above". Swinging soul singer AB and hip-hop producer 14KT's respective styles mesh extremely well which is very evident on their just released full-length "Saturn Returns". 14KT Ft. Roc Marciano - "Live From Pimpstead"

We recently heard acclaimed producer 14KT's new album "Nickel & Dimes" which succesfully mixed instrumental cuts with vocal tracks guested by some major underground emcees. As is often the case with Mello Music Group, they give their albums the deluxe edition treament when releasing on wax, adding an exclusive bonus 45 to the 2xLP set. For 14KT's LP, this bonus 45 includes a banging joint featuring everybody and their mother's current favorite rapper Roc Marciano on a cut called "Live From Pimpstead".
