Second single from Lewis Parker & Eastkoast's limited collaboration "MK:Ultra (Operation Hypnosis)" is called "Bank Robbery" and is a certified banger. The LP is limited to 300 copies while the instrumental edition only comes in 250 pressings so be sure to get your pre-orders on if you want this in your collection. Don't sleep on single #1 either, "Superior MC's".

LEWIS PARKER & EASTKOAST - "Superior MC's" (Ft. Shabaam Sahdeeq & El Da Sensei)

Ever since I first heard Lewis Parker for the first time on Ghostface's "Fishscale" and "More Fish" albums in 2006 I've been constantly blown away by his work. For 2015 the London born Parker hooks up with NY emcee Eastkoast for a full-length project called "MK Ultra: Operation Hypnosis" available for pre-order via KingUnderground.com. The first single features Shabaam Sahdeeq and El Da Sensei and is fittingly given the title "Superior MC's". Powerful!

[Album] LEWIS PARKER - "The Puzzle 2 - The Glass Ceiling" (Instrumentals)

Continuing with Lewis Parker, this summer sees the release of the instrumental version of his excellent second installment in his "The Puzzle" album series; "The Glass Ceiling". To me Parker might just be the most overlooked producer working in the biz right now - sure he's had some major placements on albums by Ghostface Killah and most recently he laced many of the hottest joints on Shabaam Sahdeeq's new LP but this cat deserves to be on everybody's radar for sure. "The Glass Ceiling" features 30 sample based beats with boom bap drums that together creates a lush, brilliantly arranged sonical concept LP that proves that Parker's music sounds as classy with or without vocals. The 2xLP deluxe edition (featuring a bonus 10" record) is available for pre-order @ King Underground Records and will be delivered on August 18. The digital version, however, is already available for purchase and can be previewed in its entirety below. Of course if you haven't heard the original vocal version of "The Glass Ceiling" , which features Sadat X/Shabaam Sahdeeq (on the instant classic "Walking On A Razor Pt. 2"), yU, John Robinson, T.R.A.C., and more including of course Lewis Parker himself, be sure to peep it ASAP!

LIL' DAP - "Code Of Silence" / "Self Esteem"

Yes I am aware that this was released as far back as four months ago but how can I fron't on a relatively new Lil' Dap banger produced by the always incredible UK beat monster Lewis Parker? The track is called "Code of Silence" and was released on limited 12" and digital EP back in April on King Underground Records; aside from instrumental, accapella and an exclusive remix of the A-side the release also comes strapped with another Dap/Parker collabo called "Self Esteem". Order the wax @ KU's Online Store or cop the digital via their Bandcamp (where you can also stream the entire project, see below). This shit goes HARD!

[EP] HUS KINGPIN x CHUCK STRANGERS - "HUS Meets The Pro Era: EP"

You know I got a lot of love for Hus Kingpin, even putting his 2013 revisited street album "The Cognac Tape" among the top 5 countdown of the year's best albums, so new music from the Brooklyn/Hempstead emcee is of course always very welcome. Here he is joined by Pro Era producer/and sometimes rhymer Chuck Strangers for an eight track offering (including two guest remixes by B-Sun and Kool J Illa, respectively)= that got a lot of interesting stuff to listener to. Strangers smooth grooves and Hus' stripped down rhyme slinging makes for an amendable combination, while Lewis Parker's guest production apperance on the first single "Hardknock" stands as the projects crowning achievement. You can stream the entire below or download it for free thanks to the good folks @ the Digicrates Bandcamp. Don't sleep!

Lewis Parker Ft. John Robinson & TRAC - "Tic Tac Toe"

Lewis Parker digs up some groove infected wax to create "Tic Tac Toe", a superb platform for a John Robinson reunion whom he made the impeccable "International Summers" LP just a couple of years ago; also featured on this hypnotizing cut are an emcee by the name of TRAC. A single from Parker's upcoming "The Glass Ceiling", this is dusty digging at its finest, and following the Sadat X/Shabaam Sahdeeq blessed single "Walking On A Razor", I have a strong feeling this album will be one of the year's best.

Shabaam Sahdeeq - "Seasons"

Once one of Rawkus' most promising artists, Shabaam Sahdeeq never really got the time in the spotlight that he deserved. He seems to be making a strong case to reclaim that this year, with lots of hot records. The latest is a beautiful Lewis Parker production, which is said to be lifted from a forthcoming Sahdeeq mixtape by the name of "Degrees of Separation". Note to self: I so need to make a Lewis Parker compilation ASAP...

Lewis Parker x Sadat X x Shabaam Sahdeeq

UK producer Lewis Parker has blown me away on several occassions, like his brilliant debut album "Masquerades & Silhouettes" and his excellent work with Ghostface. Now it's time again, as Parker is gearing up for the release of a new solo album, "The Glass Ceiling", later this year on his own Dusty Vinyl imprint. For the single "Walking On A Razor", Parker has enlisted two New York giants in the form of Sadat X and Shabaam Sahdeeq... And the results is just as good as expected.
