MARVELOUS MAG Ft. THA CONNECTION & ASIA J - "Roberta" [prod. FLYING LOTUS]

As I was just visiting Marvelous Mag's Soundcloud page to embed his new single "Trouble" (see below), it turns out he also uploaded another new cut called "Roberta" that is just as ill to say the least. I'm really a sucker for anything FlyLo right now so seeing that he produced this was a very nice suprise. Beside Tha Connection (Hus Kingpin / SmooVth) the song also packs a 16 from femcee Asian J. I can dig it!

[Album] SMOOVTH & GIALLO POINT - "Portrait Of A Pimp"

Since they first burst on to the scene in the mid-2010s Tha Connnection have become synonymous with some of the illest, hardcore New York hip-hop in the modern era. With albums like "Connected 101" and "Strive" they really solidifed themeselves as a force to be reckoned with. I'm not sure if the duo is still active, but its two members, Hus and Smoovth, are definitely still going strong. Hus Kingpin has dropped incredible projects such as "The Cognac Tape" and only a few days ago we got the free new mixtape "Pop Up Shop" with Rozewood, a slamming tape that will definitely satisfy fans of both Hus as a solo artist and Tha Connection followers. Considering that Hus releases a whole lot of shit every year, maybe the release of Smoovth's new project with producer Giallo Point called "Portrait Of A Pimp" is even more interesting. Released on  December 1, I had totally missed out on this, but better late than never because this is SLAMMING! Turns out that this will actually be pressed up on gatefold cover vinyl as well, albeit in a limited edition of only 200 copies. The 2xLP set wiill only be available straight from Rykz Music. HUS KINGPIN / MILANO / SMOOVTH - "Love @ The Store"

NahRight just premiered thiis mindblowingly smooth jazz banger featuring the always underrated Milano with Tha Connection's excellent Hu Kingpin and SmooVth and they sound absoutely brilliant over this monster of a beat, supplied by DJ Premier none the less. It's possible it's an older beat alá "Beatss That Collected Dust" (Sol. 1 or 2) but as long as it's this dope who gives  a fruck.

M.W.P. / OH NO / SMOOVTH - "Blood Diamonds"

M.W.P. is an up-and-coming producer for his lead single from his upcoming album hooks up with both Oh No and Smoovth of Tha Connection for a soulful single entitled "Blood Diamonds". Dope track; stay tuned for more info on M.W.P.'s upcoming project, sit back and enjoy the music.

HUS KINGPIN - "Mahalia" / "Dr. Shelley" / "Camay"

Hus Kingpin's "The Orange Tape" made my top-5 albums of the year in 2013, and The Connection member has continued releasing booming hip-hop music ever since. His latest single is a chill joint, utilizing a sample that '90s hip-hop fans will definitely recognize, called "Mahalia" and features Hus' usual gripping flow over a ill J.U.S.T.U.S. League production.

Below you find two other recent Hus' tracks/freestyles. The first one is called "Dr. Shelley" and is produced by Zygote and features team mate Smoovth, while the second joint is a freestyle over the RZA prdouced classic "Camay". Enjoy y'all!
