The eclectic soul/funk/hip-hop child Dudley Perkins (a/k/a Declaime) is about to hit us with another ill solo disc, following his excursions into his and Georgia Anne Muldrow's commonly shared world with the G&D projects. Dudley Perkins has a lot of incredible albums under his name, most notably his three Madlib produced records - "IllMindMuzik EP", "A Lil' Light" and "Excursions 2012". His 1998 debut disc was another banger, where the production was divided between Madlib and KanKick. For "Dr. Stokley" who hits stores and internet retailers via Mello Music Group on November 29. The first two promising singles takes it back to the foundation, as they are produced by Madlib ("State of Emergency") and KanKick ("Foot Surgery", streaming below via Soundcloud). The other announced producer for the project is Georgia Anne Muldrow, and together with the press releases closing statement that "this is Dudley at his eccentric best, fiery and passionate, killin' emcees with that heavy fOnk straight from the soul." Pre-order the album @ MMG i_ your choice of CD, wax or iTunes for digital.

B-REAL x XZIBIT x DEMRICK are SERIAL KILLERS
Two of the West Coast's most influential emcees, Cypress Hill's B-Real and Xzibit joins forces with up-and-comer Demrick under the name Serial Killers. The newly formed unit will drop their first mixtape "Serial Killers Vol. 1" via LiveMixtapes.com on October 31. A few days ago they released the short but effective concept video "First 48" which is the Sir Jinx produced intro the album. Today another sick single hit the net via DJ Statik Selektah who produced the joint which is called "Legends Never Die" (featuring Ea$y Money). Peep the track below and up top you find the aforementioned video.
[Video] DJ SKIZZ x MASTA ACE x NATURE - "Metal Bars"
With a super fresh boom bap sound and a guest list of some of the biggest and best names on the New York hip-hop scene, DJ/producer DJ Skizz has created one of the best albums of the year with "B.Q.E. (Brooklyn to Queens Experience)". If you haven't checked it out yet, I strongly recommend you to support this project. The opening track of "B.Q.E." is called "Metal Bars" and features stellar verses by Masta Ace and Nature over a hardboiled headbanger, signature of the sound found on the LP. Check it out above and head over to FatBeats to grab the CD, or iTunes for the digital download. I just noticed that the latter carries two bonus cuts not featured on the compact disc; one with Wais P, and one featuring Psycho Les and Milano.

SMIF-N-WESSUN / JUNIOR REID - "Solid Ground"
Hell fucking yeah; Smif-N-Wessun is back at their A-game here with their new single which features an outstanding performance by the legendary Junior Reid. The Smif-N-Wessun duo has Always been fantastic at bringing a reagge vibe to their hardcore street hop, and "Solid Ground" is the illest track I've heard all day (and I listened to quite a lot of new and realtively new stuff today). In even greater news this is just the forecoming, because Duck Down is releasing a new Tek N Steele EP features six songs that will all have a reagge vibe to them. All of the music will be produced by the underrated duo Beatnick & K-Salaam (who recently did the Murs & Fashawn album), and guest features will be held down by talents such as Jahdan, Jr. Kelly and the aforementioned Junior Reid. The EP, "Born & Raised" hit streets and digital retailers on December 3rd so make sure to gear up for that one; I sure I am!
Kap Kallous Ft. MidaZ The BEAST & Shinobi - "Bad Decisions"
It seems that Orlando emcee Kap Kallous might be one to watch out for in the near future; recently we heard his Audible Doctor produced single "Body Bag Ali". Now he enlists the help of MidaZ The Beast (a late happy birthday fam, hope you had a great day!) and Shinobi Stalin for the Optics produced "Bad Decisions". Be sure to check it out!
[Video] KOOL G RAP x NECRO - "Heart Attack"
At one point I was actually starting to doubt if The Godfather's project would actually ever come to fruition, with only that one posse cut "Men @ Work 2012" to show for it in more than a year of promises of the album. This is not a jab at the two emcees per se, but we all know that a lot of remarkable hip-hop albums gets announced and never come to fruition. However, now it's 100% official - The Godfathers album is called "Once Upon A Crime" and will be released through SRC in conjunction with Psycho+Logical on November 19. The first single just landed too, along with the artwork, and it's a hardboiled joint called "Heart Attack". This goes great with my "Giancana Story" revisit that's been getting a lot of good attention from you guys. Press play above and turn that volume UP!

BOLDY JAMES x ALCHEMIST - "Reform School"
I don't know how the hell I could've missed that Detroit emcee Boldy James have teamed up with producer The Alchemist for a full-length project! The two first collaborated on "The Kosmos Pt. 2: Power Glove", one of the many standouts from last years "Russian Roulette". Consisting of 13 tracks, the Decon release boost features from Freeway, Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis and King Chip. "M.1.C.S. (My 1st Chemistry Set)" hit stores October 15; at least on CD (pre-order), I can't find any info on vinyl as of yet. Check out the posse track with Earl, Domo and Da$h, "Reform School", as well as the previously released single "Moochie". This shit goes HARD, defo checking for this drop!

[Video] JOELL ORTIZ - "Cheers From the Crowd"
Statik Selektah is assigned by Joell Ortiz, who's always been a whole lot more interesting as a solo artist than as part of some overhyped four man collective, to produce the slow-paced, introspective and gripping "Cheers From The Crowd". I'm not sure where this is a single from but I wouldn't mind a new solo from the Brooklyn projects boy.
[Snippet] DIAMOND D / CHINO XL - "THE PAIN"
With the exception of some very few artists I really don't fuck with snippets, but this one is too crazy not to post. When I interviewed Diamond back in April, he had just gotten back from a session with Chino XL which he mentioned as one of his most exciting collaborations for "The Diam Piece LP". A few days back the self-proclaimed best producer on the mic posted a one minute long snippet of the track he was speaking about, "The Pain" is a collaboration between Chino XL and AG. This looks pretty damn mindblowing track on paper, but the actual song sounds even hotter than one could hope for. With a somber acoustic piano floating throughout the song, a hypnotically repetitive female vocal sample, and vintage Diamond drums the stage is set for Chino XL who comes armed with a flow not of this world and plenty of jaw-dropping lines, Xtra Large. Say what you want about Chino's own output past his debut, but he remains one of the most lyrical cats on the planet. Unfortunately the preview cuts off before we get a chance to hear AG's verse... Oh well!
In further news on Diam's upcoming producer album, yet another tracklist has been revealed via official sources. In my interview he made it clear that nothing definite about the tracklist, sequence or even which songs would make the final cut were yet decided, and that the first leaked tracklist was more of a blueprint. The new updated, latest, I believe is a lot closer to what eventually will be released; however I'm sure there still will be a bunch of changes/additions/subtractions before the tracklist is finalized. Especially considering the strange fact that "The Pain" isn't even on it (but neither is this or this, or Skyzoo who he's pictured with avoce)? Some crazy, marvellous shit that's got my mouth watering on here though - Fat Joe reuniting with Diamond is always exciting to me, especially when the track also features Chi-Ali and Mr. Bumpy Fucking Knuckles. Also it's fantastic that we will finally get a OC solo produced by Diamond D! Did you know that has never happened despite them being in the same crew for more than 20 years?

[EP] M.E.D. x MADLIB - "Classic: The Outtakes"
In 2011 Stones Throw alumi M.E.D. released his second official solo album, "Classic" on the label. Out of the fourteen tracks Madlib produced ten songs if I'm not mistaken, and as with any album there's some dopeness bound to end up on the cutting room floor. But there they doesn't make anyone much good now do they? M.E.D. and producer Madlib have wisely decided to throw the fans a tasty bone with all the completed tracks that in the end didn't make the final cut. And it's a lot of really tight music here too...
Many of the tracks have since been sold by Madlib to other artists; especially interesting is that a demo version of the beat for Guilty Simpson's Jay Dee tribute "Cali Hills" appears here as "Sleeper Bag". Other cuts have been given to Freddie Gibbs. M.E.D. and Madib has time and time again proven to be a Power duo and these 7 tracks doesn't exactly put a halt to that fact. On the micropone, Medaphoar are joined by the aforementioned Oh No, Aloe Blacc, Pok, Mellow D, and Steve Arrlington. I gotta say that I take this over that "Burgundy Whip" EP any day (although the last track cutts off rather abruptly)!
