Full PUBLIC ENEMY concert

One of hip-hop's most incredible groups of all time rocked a two hour set at New Jersey's ATP Festival this past Sunday. The great NPR (National Public Radio) just made the entire concert available for our listening pleasure; available in both streaming and downloadable format. While I'm dissapointe to say that I have yet to see them perform myself, recordings like this makes it evident that even 25 years after their debut, the passion and energy are still in full effect.

Although the day of the performance marked the 20 year anniversary of "Apocalypse '91... The Enemy Strikes Back", the material of the set almost exclusively comes from their classic third LP, the masterpiece "Fear Of A Black Planet". It does feature some additional classic records like "Bring The Noise", "Show 'Em Whatcha Got" too though. The Enemy sound are here heard in a somewhat updated context featuring a perfect mixture of live instruments and the man behind the wheels of steel. Even if you haven't been too big on P.E.'s latest material, this is a must listen for anyone who ever enjoyed these guys. A bunch of thanks and credit to War & Peace for spreading the word on this gem!
