AB - 45 Series V.1: "Stop Fakin'"/"Stevie's Lament"

Back in November highly talented soul singer/songwriter/musician Aaron "AB" Abernathy teamed up with producer 14KT for the impressive concept album "Saturn Return". Now AB returns to the scene with the first installment in a project called "45 Series" - paying homage to the double track feature of the 7" single. The first volume consists of the funky "Stop Fakin'" for the digital A-side. Produced by long-time associate Black Milk, AB's strong voice and vocal performance is underlined with Rhodes, trumpet, a grooving bassline and a thumping rhythm track that definitely makes for a rewind worthy cut. The B-side "Stevie's Lament" is a soothing self-composed instrumental piece, driven by a beautiful flute solo which overrides a plethora of horn arrangements, keys, a string section, and again a very strong bass- and drum combo. Both joints make for a strong listen and should be heard as a unit, so press play, sit back and enjoy!
