Raekwon The Chef shows no signs of slowing down; remember when it used to take at least four years between each Wu-Tang member's releeases. Luckily generals like Rae, Ghost and RZA drop at least an album a year these days, and if not that we can count on getting a mixtape, EP or a compilation. Last year Chef brought the impressive "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang", earlier this year we got the "Unexpected Victory" mixtape, and now he's preparing an EP entitled "Lost Jewelery" that should be out early next year; featuring tracks that didn't make the more official projects for varying reasons.
The first official single is titled "Never Say Goodbye", is a laid back soul-drenched joint that reminds me a bit of something from De La Soul's "The Grind Date". Of course it's filled with The Chef's classic storytelling style, reminiscing about growing up, being torn by his family values and his coming of age as a street criminal.
