Some very sad news just came to my attention today, South Bronx emcee and D.I.T.C. affiliate Tashane was murdered in The Bonx June 4. The young rapper was one of the most recent signee's to Show's D.I.T.C. Records imprint but sadly didn't leave much material behind him, save for a few gems like last week's DITC freestyle session with Preemo. The day after the unfortunate incident, DJ Eclipse dedicated his Halftime Radio Show of the week to Tashane, while playing a terrific 25 minute set of the man's music, including a rare remix of Show & A's "South Bronx Shit". Eclipse also noted that Tashane, in his opinion, dropped the flyest verse of anyone in the room during Half Time Radio's 15 year anniversary this past February. Check out the set below and send your thoughts and respect out to Tashane, his family, friends and crew. Another Soldier of the Culture that was taken way before his time. Rest in Power!
