Yessir!! The best beat DJ Premier cooked up all year gets the visual treament! I am of course talking about "Street Music", the lead single from Dynasty's "A Star in Life's Clothing" [clck to stream and/or order entire album] which is out now since late October. The album also features, "Stay Shinin'", a cool collaboration with Talib Kweli which you find below.

I'm not that familiar with Dynasty, the fast rising Queens emcee, aside from her two excursions into the Works of Mart with their two terrific boom bap collaborations "Dynasty" and "Street Music"; both been incredible street shit. The girl can definitely rhyme and I'm about to listen to the album ASAP; I don't really know what to expect, but I hope that there will be more of that Heavy sound despite DJ Premier's only contribution to the finished product is just the aforementioned "Street Music". I'm not sure who the other producers are but the Jakarta Records LP does feature collaborations with Skyzoo, Talib Kweli, Hometown Hero, and a few others so it should at least be interesting. The same goes for the second single, "Sweet Music" (which yous see up top). I'm definitely checking this and I recommend you do the same! DYNASTY x DJ PREMIER - "Street Music"

One of the most exciting tracks from DJ Premier's Year Round Records compilation "Get Used to Us" (2010) came from a young emcee by the name of Dynasty. Now the pair reunites for another street ready banger bearing the title "Street Music". Turns out that the Queens rhymester has been hard at work on her debut album which is dropping October 18 on Jakarta Records, "A Star in Life's Clothing".

This track comes from DJ Premier/Year Round Records compilation "Get Used to Us" that was released digitally a while back but should hopefully available on CD and wax soon enough. Dynasty is a female emcee from Jamaica who got a hold of an unreleased Premier banger that was supposed to go on "Beats That Collected Dust Vol. II". And trust that she absolutely rapes this beat to shreds, good song for a video too; hopefully that means physical copies of the YRR comp is on the way. Lots of cameos from Premier in the video too.
