"Piece Maker 3: Return Of The 50 MC's" works as an installment in two of Tony Touch's best and most memorable mixtape and/or album series. Released today via Soul Temple Records, Touch has choosen to premier the entire project through free streaming on always trustworthy DJBooth. Kicking things off with the DJ Premier produced collaboration with D-Stroy, you know you are in for a treat with this one.. Other highlights (at least on paper; just started listening myself) include tracks with Liknuts (Alkaholiks x Beatnuts), M.O.P., B-Real, Wu-Tang Clan, AG & Masta Ace, Rah Digga, KRS-One, Fat Joe & Sadat X, D-Block and many more; a good amount of the beats are produced by Beatnuts too, which is real exciting in its own right. Last week we heard the Wu-Tang Clan single "Unorthox", the first single from DJ Tony Touch third installment in his superb "The Piece Maker" series. The third volume also carries the undertitle "The Return Of The 50 MC's"; which of course is a play on Touch's classic '97 mixtape "Power Cypha: 50 MC's". "It's A Queens Thing" is my personal favorite of the two singles so far, and features powerful performances by Kool G Rap and Action Bronson rippinng this real gripping beat straight to shreds. It's one of them joints that's both hardboiled and hauntingly beautiful at the same time, and everything about it just connects. Press play below and bang your head... Wu-Tang Clan - "Unorthodox"

Great news is that Tony Touch is releasing a new album on July 9 that will work as an installment in both "The Piece Maker" and "50 MC's" series. Both volumes in the former series have included a fat Wu-Tang Clan joint ("The Abduction"; "Rock Steady"), a tradition that is continued on "Piecemaker 3: Return of 50 MC's" with "Unorthodox" featuring RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Ice Water signee JD Era. The song will also be available on an exclusive 45 via Soul Temple Records with a remix of the Red N Meth + Erick Sermon joint "Let's Go" on the flip... Pre-order @ SoulTemple!

DJ Doom & Nutso Ft. Large Pro, El Da Sensei & Tony Touch - "It's Just Begun"

To celebrate the memory of the late Jimmy Castor who passed away around this time last year, DJ Doom and talented Queen's spitter Nutso join forces in the creation of their own homage to the #1 B-Boy anthem "It's Just Begun". The funk provided by Doom is definitely right on target and the performances by Large Professor, El Da Sensei, Tony Touch and DJ Tha Boss (on the cuts) are certain to grab your attention.
