Another grand banger from DJ JS-One's "No One Cares / Ground Original 3", although this is a special remix that does not appear on the actual album. Behind it we find no other than Mr. Boom Bap himself - DJ Premier. The track in question is called "Reppin' N.Y." and has guest apperances by Lil' Fame, Freddie Foxxx and Joell Ortiz. These guys always sounds great over Premier's breaks and this is no exception! Read more about the album and check out two other samples of its dopeness here.
In related news, Preemo is said to be working with Mary J. Blige for her next album which will be the sequel to her popular "My Life" LP from '94. I've always been a big fan of Premier's soul remixes and productions - in fact I even collected some of my favorites for a compilation called "The Soul Of Premier". "My Life II: The Journey Continues" will be available from October 4.
