JIMEK is a Polish hip-hop producer who orchestrated the Polish National Radio Symphony as the final encore after two more regular symphonic orchestra suites on March 7, 2015 in Katowice, Poland. Watch as JIMENK orchestrates the huge classically trained orchestra take on classics by Tribe, M.O.P., Wu-Tang Clan, Kendrick Lamar, Biggie, 2PAC, Nas, Jay-Z, Beastie Boys and many more. This is just amazing and if you like what you are hearing be sure to check out the live recording of Miguel Atwood-Fergusson's and his orchestras rendition of J Dilla classics on the "Suite For Ma Dukes" album featuring guests like Karieem Riggins, Talib Kweli, Bilal and Dwéle. Then there of course was the original composition by DJ Premier, Nas and a symhony orchesta for the "Re-Generation" project. Maybe this is one of the ways hip-hop will follow through on, I would love to hear music like this but with a DJ and an emcee getting busy over it. Anyways, don't sleep!

[Video] GHOSTFACE Ft. AZ, KOOL G RAP & TRE WILLIAMS - "The Battlefield"

While Ghostface's "36 Seasons" seriously lacked any replay value in my book, it did feature some great performances from everyone involved, and never as much as on the powerful album opener "The Battlefield". Supplied by the excellent crooning of The Revelations' original singer Tre Williams, three of the hip-hop games finest storytellers and all around emcees each paints a vivid introduction of the characters they are playing for the audio film. Produced by the great Fizzy Womack with Brooklyn based The Revelations providing the instrumentation.

SEAN PRICE - "Land of the Crooks" [Divided Souls & DJ Pain Remix]

This super ill remix of Sean Price's recent "Land of the Crooks" single has been out for a while but in case anyone missed out on it, you definitely need to hit play up top. Featuring M.O.P.'s Billy Danze and Maffew Ragazino, this updated version was created by Divided Souls Entertainment and DJ Pain 1 for an upcoming compilation album for Coalmine Records. The album is called "Reminded" and will be available on January 20, you can pre-order it @ iTunes now. Also check out the Cookin' Soul remix of "Born Naturally" (Large Pro, Big Noyd and G Rap) below.

TRAGEDY KHADAFI - "Stand Up"

Wow so it turns out that one of the most legendary, illest emcees alive just released a new album, straight out of nowhere. I'm talking about QB's own Tragedy Khadafi who's new LP "Pre Magnus Opus" just hit iTunes and features ten new killer kuts, featuring guests such as Lil' Fame, Illa Ghee, Royal Flush, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Starvin B, Meyhem Lauren and more. The track "Stand Up", seen above, originally appeared on Marco Polo's "Newport Authority 2" and is a remix of the Adrian Younge/Delphonics cut of the same name... and it still goes HARD! The entire album is also up for free streaming for all you Spotify users out there so go ahead and bang this right now...

M.O.P. Ft. MAINO - "Welcome 2 Brooklyn"

It's been over three years since The Mash Out Posse last released an official album, so it's great to have the duo finally returning with a brand new project again. "Street Certified" consists of only nine songs, clocks in at around 32 minutes and is officially labeled as an EP. However their latest previous album, "Sparta" (with The Snowgoons), was just as short and about half as good so I'm a bit hesitant to call this an EP, but rather a mini album or something like that. We've heard the three singles and if you dug them, you are definitely in for a treat here. This is dark, hard, and agressive music for the streets with beats that'll make neck hurt - but as is always the case with Danze and Fame, there's a lot of humor thrown into the violent lyrics. Between the stripped down, funeral marsch hip-hop of "Broad Daylight", the vintage M.O.P. sound of "187" (complete with a mix and scratches by DJ Premier), and the somber piano and guest singer of "Hustle" there's enough variation on here to never get boring or repetitive. But most of all it's a true M.O.P. record, and Billy Danze and Lil' Fame once again proves why they are one of the most potent duos hip-hop has ever seen - and the answer is a mixture of impeccable chemistry, terrific voices and flows plus very well written lyrics. In other words a return to form after the somewhat lackluster Snowgoons collaboration in "Sparta", "Street Certified" (which is out now) comes highly recommended. Only downside is that it seems to be digital only, at leat for the time being. Take a listen to the opening song "Welcome 2 Brooklyn" up top, featuring a solid verse from Maino.

Jason Dean is a new name to me but his album "Straight Out the Projects" really is a reminder of why I originally fell in love with hip-hop. The Norweigan producer seamlessly blends smooth soul and hardcore rhythms which he attracts some of the illest spitters around. How about Masta Ace, Cormega, AZ, M.O.P, Ruste Juxx, Big Shug, Prop Dylan, and Rasco? With only six songs it's a quick but definitely satisfying listen, it will be interesting to say what this Scandinavian boom bap fanatic will bring to the table in the future. Duck Down and Bucktown legend Buckshot joins forces with New Zealand producer P-Money for a full-length project entitled "Backpack Travels". Judging by the new single "Just Money" (above, also featuring Raz Fresco) and the earlier "Flute". this is taking it back to the golden era with knocking beats, heavy bottom, tight cuts, well written rhymes and soul samples. The album is available on June 24, but just a few weeks ago P-Money dropped his own producer project "Gratitude" which beside Buckshot also features legends like M.O.P., Havoc, Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, and more. Despite all the concerts I've attended during my relatively short life, I still haven't managed to catch one of my absolute top favorites (The Mash Out Posse) in action. They haven't released a proper solo album since the underrated "Foundation" (the Snowgons laced project not withstanding). While this is not a new M.O:P. single in its truest sence, "You Can't Hide"  will appeear on French DJ Jean Maron's upcoming full-lengther "True School" which is out NOW and features legends likeKRS-One, Onyx,  Masta Ace, Mobb Deep, Kool G Rap, and more. Underrated Brooklyn emcee Mic Handz is defintiely on the come up with some hard shit as evident by a couple of recent singles, perhaps the doping one being this Lil' Fame blessed banger produced by Aaron Lyles. Fame brings his usual rugged grittisism and Mic Handz does a good job of keeping things up over a neck breaking backdrop that should have you rewinding this one. M.O.P. & Mobb Deep - "Street Certified"

Sorry about the lack of updates over the last few days, but I've really been super busy, but be sure to stay tuned as I got a real ill interview, an official mixtape debut, a vintage Lost Tapes compilation of an NY legend, and much more coming up very soon... But first, I want to backtrack and post a few gems that dropped during this week and thus haven't been posted yet. First out is a new collaboration from the legendary M.O.P. and Mobb Deep called "Street Certified". Both groups represent NYC, are known for embracing hardcore shit exclusively, yet I can't recall a single collaboration between the two (save for that Frankie Cutlass track, but that only had M.O.P. on the hook) so it's definitely cool to finally hear this. It seems the song "belongs" to M.O.P. - hopefully this mean we will see a new album from Fame and Danze this year.

DJ KAY SLAY Ft. Termaology, Trick-Trick, Troy Ave & Trae - "Ghetto Survivor"

Zulu Nation's DJ Kay Slay have been in the game for a while now, releasing both some fantastic music and some mediocre stuff. For 2014 the legendary DJ is gearing up for the next installment in his Streetsweeper series, entitled "Streetsweeper Presents: The Rise Of A City", featuring a host of both veteran emcees and new talents mostly hailing from the NYC area. The first single was the impeccable seven minutes "90s Flow" which I thought was somewhat overlooked by many as it featured quality verses over a strong beat from Prodigy, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Rell, Fat Joe, Sheek Louch, Herb McGruff, M.O.P., and N.O.R.E. I realized I never posted it on the site, so as the second single "Ghetto Survivor" is here I figured it's a perfect opportunity to post both tracks. "Ghetto Survivor" is produced by the underrated Blastah Beatz and features lyrical performances by Termanology, Troy Ave, Trick Trick & Trae. Enjoy these banging joints while we wait for the full project to drop.
