[FREESTYLE Throwback] BLACK THOUGHT, SEAN PRICE, AG, M1, LIL' FAME, ILLA GHEE (2013)

Crazy Power Cypher from Tony Touch's Sirius XM show back in 2013, incredible line-up of some of the illest emcees around and now is as good time as any for a rewind. Loved the part when they start killing the "What's The Deal" beat, not to mention the "Say It" session at the end!

[Album] EA$Y MONEY - "The Money (Motive Of Nearly Everyone)"

Ea$y Money is an emcee hell bent on bringing back that boom bap sound without sounding dated and from the stuff I've heard from him he is doing a damn good job at it. As part of Termanology's St. Da Squad collective, Ea$y has dropped the ocassional mixtape as well as appearing on records by Reks, Term, Action Bronson, Big Shug, Statik Selektah, Serial Killers (Xzibit, B-Real & Demrick), Slaine, and more. His official retail full-length debut album is now here and features the sound of hip-hop a lot of people might have been missing if they haven't been knowing were to look (and if that's the case bookmark The Lost Tapes y'all). With production from DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, Buckwild, 9th Wonder, J. Cardim and more and cameos from the likes of Lil' Fame, Termanology, Jared Evans, Wais P, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, to name a few. This shit goes hard so be sure to press play. The album is OUT NOW on Showoff Records. Stream below and if you like what you hear, head over to iTunes and show your support!

TRAGEDY KHADAFI - "Stand Up"

Wow so it turns out that one of the most legendary, illest emcees alive just released a new album, straight out of nowhere. I'm talking about QB's own Tragedy Khadafi who's new LP "Pre Magnus Opus" just hit iTunes and features ten new killer kuts, featuring guests such as Lil' Fame, Illa Ghee, Royal Flush, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Starvin B, Meyhem Lauren and more. The track "Stand Up", seen above, originally appeared on Marco Polo's "Newport Authority 2" and is a remix of the Adrian Younge/Delphonics cut of the same name... and it still goes HARD! The entire album is also up for free streaming for all you Spotify users out there so go ahead and bang this right now...

[Video] MIC HANDZ Ft. Lil' Fame - "Don't Get Stomped"

Underrated Brooklyn emcee Mic Handz is defintiely on the come up with some hard shit as evident by a couple of recent singles, perhaps the doping one being this Lil' Fame blessed banger produced by Aaron Lyles. Fame brings his usual rugged grittisism and Mic Handz does a good job of keeping things up over a neck breaking backdrop that should have you rewinding this one. Premiered by Robbie @ Unkut, so all thanks to him! Free clean version of the single below, the dirty you can purchase from iTunes.

[Video] LIL' FAME - "Get Busy: Freestyle"

Fizzy Wo goes in and absolutely destroys this ruthless The Roots monster of a beats, and right from jump you can tell this beat was just made for him. Maybe him and Billy should invite ?uest and the guys for a track or two for their next album, I can definitely see how that could work. Fame's take on "Get Busy" is another single from DJ J-Ronin's upcoming "The Freestyle Files Vol. 2" which you can order over @ All Elements (where you can also check all the video singles that's dropped so far).

Termanology Ft. Inspectah Deck & Maffew Razino + Sheek Louch, Lil' Fame, Kay Slay

Termanology is preparing another LP this year and its titled "G.O.Y.A. (Gunz & Yay Available)" and is sheduled for a October 8 release via ST/Brick Records. I got two singles for you from the LP and they are both intense posse cut featuring fellow NY talents in Inspectah Deck and Maffew Ragazino for "You Ain't Safe", and DJ Kay Slay introduces Term, Sheek and the always incredible Lil' Fame on "Straight From The Block". Despite the status of these guests they are only a small amount of all the rhymers and guest vocalists that Term has rounded up for "Goya". Or how about Reks, NORE, Chris Rivers, JuJu, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Action Bronson, Jared Evans, Tony Touch, Doo Wop, and a few others. The entire project is produced by Shortfyuz, an-up-n-coming producer from Term's neighborhood. Enough said, check the tracklist and the two joints right below (Three if you count the NORE single I liked to above)! I really dug the LP with Lil' Fame so let's see if this can live up to that one...

1. STV News (Ft. Sway)
2. Scandalous (Ft. Chris Rivers)
3. Pulp Fiction (Ft. Reks)
4. Judo (Ft. NORE)
5. American Dreamin'

7. G.O.Y.A. (SKIT) (Ft. Large Pro, Lil Fame, Pete Rock & DJ Premier)
8. Sazon (Ft. H Blanco & Ea$y Money)

Tony Touch, AG, Lil' Fame, Black Thought, Sean Price, Illa Ghee, & M-1 - "Power Cypha"

For the release of Tony Touch's severely ill new installments in both his "The Piecemaker" and "50 MC's" series. Last Toca Tuesday on AlLindstrom, Touch rounded up a gang of some of the illest spitters around for a 20 minute power session that you NEED to hear. Featured here are Black Thought, M1, Illa Ghee, AG, Lil' Fame, and Sean Price... Whew!! Every emcee here came correct to say the least, but Black Thought is just on another level. Order "The Piecemaker III: Return Of 50 MC's" in your choice of CD, wax, and digital. They also appeared on the new 12:s

The Rub - "Feel You" [Marco Polo RMX] (Ft. Lil' Fame)

The Rub is a cherrished DJ team consisting of DJ Ayers and DJ Eleven who are also nice behind the boards. About a month ago they released a four-track EP called just "The Rub". Now Ayers and Eleven is releasing the free-EP follow-up to that records, featuring remixes of all the songs found on the original. To kick things of they have grabbed the unsung boom-bap prince Marco Polo for some of that chopped up goodies and as if that wasn't enough they are letting loose Lil' Fame a/k/a Slap on the remix.  The full remix EP drops on July 30, but no word on who will produce or rap on the remaining cuts.

[Video] Cool Hand Lukey Ft. Lil' Fame & Lucky Tatt

M.O.P.'s Slap still knows how to grab my attention, and for "I'm Gone" he pops up for a hot 16. The track itself is lifted from Cool Hand Lukey's forthcoming mixtape "My Way", and also features Lucky Tatt. Produced by IFresh Beatz and directed by BlueCollarTV. Sounding good!

Marco Polo Ft. Lil' Fame, Tragedy & Adrian Younge - "Stand Up" Remix

As readers of this and other blogs know a lot of heads feel Marco is one of the illest producers out there right now; he's one of the last producers with some success that'll never forgot his roots while always having amazing guest artists on all his project. "Port Authority" , his official debut from 2007, truly certified him in the game as an outstanding artist, partly due to the amazing set of guest artists he managed to get together for the project. Now the Canadian beat maestro is gearing up for the second installment in that series, but first he's releasing a mixtape of songs that didn't make the final cut for one reason or another. "Newport Authority" is the prequel tape that will be released very soon and we already heard brilliant joints by the likes of Rakim, and The Artifacts. It's hard not to get the impression that, between these two releases, this is going to have the finest guest spots in one place since Pete Rock's "Soul Survivor". For the latest single, the remix of "Stand Up", you got two of my favorite emcees all categories go at it with no lesser legends than The Delphonics and super talented but still rising Adrian Younge!

Marco Polo Ft. Lil' Fame - "Fame For President"

If things keep coming at this rate, there's a good case for Marco Polo being the most interesting producer of 2013. As you know he's releasing his sequel to one of the best producers album of all time, "Port Authority", this year and as if that wasn't enough, he's even releasing a full "street LP" worth of material that didn't fit the final product for one reason or another. The name of that street album/mixtape is "Newport Authority" and from the five leaks we've heard so far, including this new monster with Lil' Fame, it is probably shitting over 99% of producer albums out there. So far we've got collaborations with Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, The Artifacts and now this fat tape with Slap called "Fame For President"; displaying a emcee/producer chemistry rarely equalled. And just like on the other singles, the immaculate turntbale work by Shylow takes it even a step higher.
