Maffew Ragazino / Lil' Fame / Teflon - "Brownsville Bullies"

Maffew Ragazino mangaded to build hype with "Rhyme Pays", a good project that was wisely more a full-length debut album than the traditional mixtape. Now the rhymer is preparing his first retail album, titled "Never Run, Never Will", a classic Brownsville slogan. So what better way to kick things off with a first single featuring not only M.O.P.'s Lil' Fame, but also the super underrated First Family member Teflon, who we see way too little these days. Produced by DJ Skizz.

The LP will feature a lot of other intersting guests, including Masta Ace, Billy Danze, DV Alias Khryst and Sonnie Carson. No date as of yet, but shouldn't be long now, and we still got "Rhyme Pays" to bang. Fizzy Womack fanatics like myself can also check out the video to his guest feature on 1982's latest album here: "Live It Up".

[Stream] Alterbeats - "The French Revolution"

We recently saw the promising tracklist for Alterprod producer Alterbeats brand new LP "The French Revolution". Over a bunch of ill, dense, hard knocking tracks, emcees like Sadat X, AG, Reef Tha Lost Cauze, Main Flow, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Chief Kamachi, Verbal Kent, Freestyle, Bekay, Sicknature and more all makes apperances. The album is available via iTunes now, and to give it a more than fair preview you can stream the entire project below.

Teflon - "4 Tha Love" (w. DJ Premier)

The track link and picture above is all courtesy of the one and only DJ Premier Blog, so all credit to Gim who manages that site. I had no choice but to post this heatrock though - Teflon is such an underrated emcee who ALWAYS bring it whenever he decides to pick up the mic. The M.O.P. afflilate's long-awaited second album "Contraband" has been in limbo for years as the projects status has gone from "coming soon" to shelved, then back to "coming soon" and so forth.

"4 Tha Love" was originally played by DJ Premier as far back as 2005 but it's first now they are letting loose of the CDQ version. This, plus the inclusion of two Teflon songs on the Year Round Records compilation that dropped earlier this year, makes me think that Tef might have decided to try to find a way to combine his fitness lifestyle (he's a personal trainer in Brooklyn) with a rap career. If he chooses to do so, he's definitely getting my money for the job. Also, in case you missed it, don't sleep on his highly unerrated '97 debut LP "My Will".
