[EP] SHABAAM SAHDEEQ - "Modern Artillery"

One of the original leaders of the Rawkus movement from back in the day, Shabaam Sahdeeq, quickly made his name synonymous with what was then known as real hip hop and to this day he stays dropping hot shit. His latest album, 2013:s "Keepers Of The Lost Art", was one of that years most overlooked LP:s and still gets ocassional play over here. Now Shadeeq is back with yet another project, the seven track EP "Modern Artillery" which's existence I had completely missed out on when limited edition cassettes were pressed up and manufactured for 2015:s Cassette Store Day on October 17. The otherwise digital release is available to purchase and listen to from regular suspects like iTunes, Amazon and Spotify now. A limited edition vinyl run is however also said to be in the workout, so while you're waiting why not stream the entire project via Audiomack below or check out the official music video for the Big Ape produced "Get It" up top.

NUTSO Ft. Problem & Bad Lucc - "Phuk It!"

Young Queens monster Nutso has definitely been on his grind lately, most recently releasing the untouchable boom bap journey that was "In The Cut", produced by France's DJ Low Cut. Already now he's back with more music, this one's called "Phuk It!" and is another hardboiled banger which will satisfy the hardcore hip-hop heads all over the world, no question. Produced by Reef and featuring cameos from rappers Problem and Bad Lucc, this is lifted off an upcoming project called "The Western Union Mixtape" so be on the lookout for that. [MIXTAPE] Reef The Lost Cauze - "Reef Iz Dead"

Reef The Lost Cauze's music is not exactly very similiar to what De La Soul was doing back in the early days. Yet, Reef's latest mixtape is an homage to De La's 1991 classic "De La Soul is Dead", cover, titlte and all. No guest apperances, but all tracks are produced, mixed and recorded by Caliph-NOW (with the exception of "Thought Control" which was done by Dumhi). I haven't listened yet, but could very well be dope; especially if the music takes a page from the Long Island trio's album as well.

Black Madeen x Tragedy Khadafi - "Ready For War"

When Tragedy Khadafi appeared on Boston duo's Militant Minds single "Militant Minds", I thought it was just another dope, feature to add to the Trag catalouge. Now with the release of "Ready For War", where Militant Minds and Tragedy joins back up (together with stellar performances by Reef The Lost Cauze and Blacastan). it turns out that the trio will actually release an entire EP together. "Militant Minds: The EP" which will actually drop tomorrow, via DJBooth and will of course be posted here.

Jakk Frost / Smif-N-Wessun / Reef / Malik B / Freeway

North Philly Hustlers' Jakk Frost and Freeway have been making music for quite some time now, guest apperances, mixtapes, you name it, and the chemistry has always been there. Word is that they will, eventually, release an actual album together in a near future. And maybe we don't have to wait much longer now; The reason? Well, the first single just hit the waves, "Six Degrees of Separation" - a dope posse cut, where the duo is joined by a gag of talented emcees like Smif-N-Wessun, Reed The Lost Cauze and even Malik B (!). Don't know who produced it or where it eventually will end up but it's a cool cut nontheless.

Reef The Lost Cauze / Snowgoons

Last year Reef The Lost Cauze hooked up with production duo Guns-N-Butter (Stu Bangas & J Scrilla) to release the slamming "Fight Music" LP. With no intention of slowing things down, for 2011 Reef has enlisted German producers Snowgoons to help him create another banging album in "Your Favorite MC". The release will be available everywhere on Tuesday, though UGHH.com already started shipping yesterday. The track below is lifted from the LP and features Outerspace on guest vocals, and while you're listening check out the tracklist here. Next in line for Snowgoons is, as you should know, their collaboration with M.O.P. called "Sparta" which I personally can't wait for!
