[Album] AYATOLLAH - "Be Real Black For Me"

Ever since I first heard him back in the Rawkus days I've had nothing but the highest admiration for Mr. Ayatollah. Now part of the Elementality family, the highly talented producer keeps churning out banging material - the latest being his new album "Be Real Black For Me". Filled with majestic strings, triumphant horns, soulful guitar licks, thick rhythm tracks and tight turntable work, there's no question that this is a perfect listen for the upcoming summer. While the majority of the LP is instrumental, 'Tollah also finds time to collaborate with the one and only Anthony Hamilton (on the beautiful "I Love Music"), EMP fam Silent Knight and Jered Sanders and even Inspectah Deck. The only downside is that as of now it's only available as a digital release (purchase it from iTunes) though a limited 7" single featuring the Anthony Hamilton joint on the A-side and the Rebel INS/Silent Knight track on the flip is also up for grabs @ Cotter Records. You can however stream the entire thing in all it's glory below, just don't forget to TURN IT UP!!

[Album] ANALOGIC - "The Booth Shall Set You Free"

Considering the love the Elementality crew get up on here it should come as no suprise to anyone that I'm a big fan of one of their main producers Analogic's musical output which includes beats for MadKem, Silent Knight, and many more. Now he's stepping into the limelight as an artist in his own right, releasing "The Booth Shall Set You Free", entirely produced by Analogic and featuring collaborations with Wordsworth, Silent Knight, Sean Boog, Evidence & Rakaa of Dilated, Jered Sanders, Justin Bates, Supastition, Hasaan Mackey, and many more. Definitely worth a listen (or plenty of them) as EMP has put up the entire album for free stream although it's really released on SoulSpazm Records (another label that has proven their capability to find and support great underground hip-hop these last couple of years). It seems it's a strictly digital release though as I can't find any info on a physical release from the usual sites, but you can purchase the project from iTunes. ENJOY!!

If you've been keeping up with the times, you'll know that Silent Knight got the goods, and if so you'll be pleased to know that the full-length version of his "Busy is My Best Friend II" is available now. The Elementality emcee has linked up with producers like The Audible Doctor, DJ K.O., !llmind, J57, Madwreck and Analogic to create a fittingly ruff soundtrack for the project. Joining Silent Knight on the mic are peeps like Homeboy Sandman, MadKem, Rasheed Chappell, YC The Cynic, Audible Doctor, and more... You know you want to hear this!

On the disc you'll find this banging collaboration with fellow EMPB repper Silent Knight; "The Wig Out". Silent Knight / Sandman & MadKem - "No Fare"

Recently we were treated to the free EP "Busy is My Best Friend II" to criticall aclaim in the underground circles. As announced before, the plan was always to have that as a precursor to the full-length version of "B.I.M.B.F. Pt. 2" that's out on Elementality Productions on April 16. HipHopDX has got first ching on leaking the first official single from the LP version, which is a really hot posse cut called "No Fare" and features guet apperances by Homeboy Sandman, and fellow EMPB spitter MadKem. Judging by this and the EP, you have only youself to blame not peeping this. I'm hyped as hell... Thanks to the homie and Lost Tapes' fan DJ K.O. who run Elementality Productions who's turned out to be one of the most interesting underground labels of 2012, going into 2013. A while back it was announced that the vastly dope but still unknown emcee Silent Knight would soon release an EP called "Busy is My Best Friend II", and I was fortunate enough to get a very early sneek peak of the four track (+ínstrumentals) EP which is why I have made several comments promising this to be one of the hottest releases the early 2013.

The EP features intense rhyming that should Busy Knight on a lot of peep's check list, as he certainly did mine. The four tracks included here features nothing but stand outs, produced by !llmind, Madwreck, and Walrus; all bringing their A-game that does a great job complimenting the harsh lyrics of Silent Knight. While this EP certainly stand on it's own, I just received the amazing news that this is just a warm-up to a full-length album of the same name that will be available on digital retailers such as iTunes, and feature additional contributions from Audible Doctor, Madwreck, DJ K.O., J57, and more; the project should be out this spring. Silent Knight's "Busy is My Best Friend II" is bound to be one of this spring's absolute finest EP's. While you're waiting to test me on that statement, check out the !llmind-produced solo verson of the Elementality emcees' latest, "Stand Up!".

J57 - "Half Zombie"

The Brown Bag AllStar's producer J57 drops another fat track, this time bringing in a bunch of talented underground emcees to bless it. "Half Zombie" features performances from Silent Knight, Emilio Lopez, Koncept and DJ Emoh Bettah. The song appears on J57's new EP, "2057" which is available only @ J57music.com where you can stream and purchase the download.

Silent Knight - "Ballot of the Wallet"

Here's another nice track from the Elementality Productions crew (DJ K.O., MadKem, etc.) - this time emcee Silent Knight brings on the single "Ballot of the Wallet", sporting an ill Madwreck production. Watch out for Knight's "Busy is My Best Friend II" dropping sometime in spring next year.
