Cole James Cash is a relatively new producer on the scene, sporting a unique sound that takes the best of the instrumental hip-hop influenced music of the '80s, '90s and the 2000s and brilliantly meshes them into a cohessive whole. You might remember his name from his excellent "Saigon" album quite recently, as well as several stunning singles. Now the album which is called "BBW: A Pornographic Opera" and is in a way a concept album. As Cole describes it himself and its title. "A New album produced by Cole James Cash tells the saga of various Big Beautiful pornographic actresses and their stories narrated by various rappers. Backed by melodic production and storytelling dedicated to all of the best and beautiful big girls who fornicate on film. ". Its no doubt an interesting album, and I'm mad hype to see how Cash will evolve over the years - I definitely have a feeling he is here to stay!
Super dope up-and-coming beat maestro Cole James Cash has dropepd a couple of highly impressive free releases in building his name and is now in the midst of creating his official debut album, "BBW: A Pornogaphic Opera". For the album's theme Cole is paying tribute to his favorite big film actress and for the new single he even managed to get a photosession and an intro with the beautiful Kacey Parker who of course the track is named after. Until a couple of days ago I wasn't familiar with the name Cole James Cash, that was until my homie M-Credible put me on to him and as he has a great ear for finding talents on the rise I was sure as I was in for some heat. While Cole mainly, or at least so far, has been putting out music in the instrumental sphere, his digital albums like the one I'm presenting here is far from being just beat tapes. "Saigon" is an instrumental concept album built around musical cues representing the Vietnam war which is evident from both the music, occassional vocal samples and titles such as "Good Morning Vietnam"; "Indochina"; "American Arrival"; "Tet 1968"; "NVA Fire Mission" and so on. It's quite different from the typical boom bap, but it's atmospheric thump making use of brilliant samples to create a mood and the drum programming definitely thumps. Cole James Cash is making some moves right now, preparing another release very soon and he just produced two vocal tracks on UNKUT's "Counterstrike 2" mixtape (be sure not to sleep on that tape).
