ARMY OF THE PHAROAHS - "God Particle" [Mr. Green Remix]

Through his extensive work with PaceWon and Malik B. I have during a rather short time became a huge fan of the brilliant production work of Mr. Green. Here he takes on Army Of The Pharoah's latest single "Curse Of The Pharoahs", originally produced by Blastah Beatz. Mr. Green's Live From The Street Team (which also includes beat head Sam Lipman-Stern gives the joint a more laid-back vibe with a beautiful accoustic piano melody taking center stage backed up by powerful cuts, and a ill bass and drums combination. Considering how different these two versions are they work great as a back-to-back listen.

Since his split with Erick Sermon, living legend PMD has been behind several interestinng projects in his own name during the years; from superb solo albums like "Shade Business" and "The Awakening" to full collaborations with DJ Honda. After the half-succesful reuion of EMPD., Parrish is now again back on his own, this time backed up by German production crew The Snowgoons, who not too long ago gave M.O.P. their "Sparta", and rapper Sean Strange on a full-length titled "Welcome to the Goondox". As far as I know, only two tracks has been leaked in promotion for the album which is out today. Vinnie Paz - "The Oracle" [prod. by DJ Premier]

It's evident that Vinnie Paz is doing much better as a solo artist than trying to keep pumping out Jedi Mind material. His official solo debut, "Season Of The Assassin" was nothing short of a real banger, and the 2012 follow-up "God Of The Serengetti" is shaping up to be one of the more interesting releases of the year. For the latest promo single, Vinnie lets loose of this slam dunk called "The Oracle", produced by DJ Premier.

[Album] VESPERTINA - "The Waiting Wolf"

It's no wonder Jedi Mind Tricks' doesn't really exist in it's original incarnation anymore, if you try to make music you're heart's not into anymore it will be a failure 100% of the times. Luckily it has worked out for the best for all involved parties on their respective paths - Vinnie Paz is off doing heavy hip-hop shit with legendary producers for his solo albums, while original producer Stoupe The Enemy of Mankind is collaborating with talented singers on dreamlike, abstract but beat based music that defies categories. After releasing the beautiful "A Bright Cold Day" with Liz Fullerton as Dutch, Stoupe formed Vespertina together with Lorrie Doriza and created "The Waiting Wolf" in 2011. Fans of his work with Jedi Mind Tricks, will recognize Stoupe's hip-hop based drum programming and epic soundscapes, but just like with Dutch he shows how great he is at arranging music to suit the specific artist he's working with. This is also why his work with Vespertina is very different from Dutch's album as well, although there's of course enough likeness to hint about it being from the same composer. Doriza's strong pipes are complemented with both samples and live instrumentations and sees her surrounded with loads of strings, dark piano melodies, moody bass lines, opera like background vocals and constantly changing motives within each song. There's a lot happening here, and it's definitely not for everyone, but if you can get down with it, Vespertina is willing to take you on a journey into their twisted and dark world. 

The entire album (which apparantly was almost three years in the making) is now available for both stream and free download in full via the groups' Bandcamp page in celebration of the one year anniversary of the original release date. Vinnie Paz returns with another solo album this year, titled "God Of The Serengeti" and set for a October 23 release through Enemy Soil Records. Since the relationship between him and Stoupe soured, I think they should put Jedi Mind Tricks on ice and strictly focus on solo material; a task Vinnie Paz proved more than fit fot, as seen by the previous "Season Of The Assassin". His sophhomore LP packs a similiar high caliber list of guests and producers that will guarantee this being pure heat, something which was also revealed by the first single "Cheesesteaks". New Jedi Mind Tricks

Here's the lead single off Jedi Mind Trick's upcoming seventh group album, "Violence Begets Violence", dropping on October 25.I'm not the biggest JMT head but it's undeniable they droped alot of hot shit throughout the years plus they put on the better show when I saw them perform alongside Capone-N-Noreaga a couple years ago. One of their main attractions for me was always the timeless sonical canvas supplied by their producer Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind though and seeing how this album is the first to feature none of his work I'm curious to see how it will end up. This first single, produced by Hypnotist Beats, goes though!
