Rome Clientel - "Troubled Child"

The new single "Troubled Child" from Rome Clientel is laced by NYC producer ATG. This beautiful collaboration is the first taste of a four track EP set to be released within the next month. Definitely sounds promising so far, and I always liked the original EP format, something you can listen to in 15-20 minutes. If you're still not up on Rome, you should of course also make yourself aquainted through his heavy hitting "The Lost Catacombs", released earlier this year.

Elmira underground veteran who's just now breaking through over the last year or so, keeps on blessing the fans with free tracks and projects after another. The latest is the self-produced single "Destroy & Rebuild", which was recored for his sophomore EP set for this summer; following the slamming  "The Empire: The Lost Catacombs" EP. Rome's next project, "The Empire: The Battlegrounds" should be out next year. And just like the last one, its already now shaping up lovely so enjoy this one and feel free to drop a comment.

The opening track to Rome Clientel's slamming free release "The Empire: The Lost Catacombs" gets the visual treatment, directed, shot and edited by Brandon Cooklin. Word is that Rome is nearing completion of his follow-up release "The Empire: The Battlegrounds". Real hip-hop is alive and well in 2012!

One of this year's hottest debut artists is without a doubt Elmira, NY emcee Rome Clientel, which was clearly proven by his excellent "The Lost Catacombs" EP. Word is that Rome is already working on his next project/mini album/EP, which should be ready sometime before the end of this summer. Rome Clientel's drops another winner from his "The Empire: The Lost Catacombs" EP which hits the web on Monday, sponsored by 2DBz. Trust me, when I say this joint is a must hear as it's a cut that slipped through the cracks from a recording session with Just Blaze all the way back in '97. This is seriously the earliest JB production I ever know to be released and it's unmistakeble that this cat was hit. Can't wait to hear the EP by now, count on finding it here as soon as it drops.

Rome Clientele - "The EMCEE" (KRS-1 Tribute)

Back in January of this year I had no clue who Rome Clientele was but I was impressed by his Tragedy Khadafi blessed single "Blue Magic". Since then I learned that Rome's is no newbie to the game but in fact been lurking in the underground since the late '90s, closely affiliated with Just Blaze who he worked with on material that got shelved at the time but will soon be leaked for the enjoyment of real hip-hop heads. Right now he's working on his official debut EP, "The Emire: The Lost Catacombs" which will feature production by Large Professor and Just Blaze amongst others.

In celebration of Rome's birthday this past Monday he drops off a loose cut in tribute to one of his biggest inspirations; KRS-One. "The EMCEE" is set over the same Domingo produced backdrop as the KRS original with the same name that always was one of my favorites from the underrated "I Got Next". Check it out and enjoy!

A while back I premiered the debut single by Elmira, NY artist Rome Clientele, "Blue Magic" featuring the always incredible Tragedy Khadafi alongside Alycat and T-Nast. Rome Clientele was then new to my ears but WNYU DJ Dharmic X has brought to my attention that Rome's an emcee that's been in the trenches since the late '90s as a frequent collaborator of Just Blaze before he blew up.

Now Rome Clientele is preparing his comeback and to kick things off he will introuce himself to the world with his upcoming EP "The Empire: The Lost Catacombs" in late April. Production on the records will be handled by a host of sick beat maestros including Large Professor, Just Blaze and Rome Clientele himself with cameos handled by Tragedy Khadafi, Skyzoo and Alycat amongst others. In promotion of the soon-to-be-released EP, Dharmic X sent over "Lifetime Losers" where Rome Clientele gets busy over Styles P and AZ's Large Pro produced "The Hardest". The track works as a preview to the actual Extra-P / Rome C. collaboration that'll appear on the actual EP.
