[Album] PRhyme - "PRhyme"

With nothing but bangers under their collaborative belt, DJ Premier and Royce Da 5'9" made a wise choice in forming PRhyme. Now we are able to hear the fruits of their labor as NPR has made the nine song album available for free preview streaming. All songs are composed around samples from Adrian Younge's catalouge and the result does not dissapoint as Premier hooks up some of his freshest beats in some time while Royce brings the verbal slaughter. CD and vinyl drops December 5, pre-order @ UGHH.

SCHOOLBOY Q Ft. NAS - "Studio Remix"

Nas last album, 2012's "Life is Good" was pretty much not only on of my favorite albums from perhaps my all-time favorite emcee, but since then the QB alumni has been rather quiet. Save for a few guest apperances for everyone from Mariah Carey to now Schoolboy . Here  Nasir is asked by Schoolboy Q to jump on the remix for his new single "Studio" and while the track isn't doing much for me, it's good to hear a pretty ill Nas 16 kicking things off so if that's the only thing you're interested in, you can stop around the one minute mark. The track which originally appeared on Q's "Oxymoron" album is produced by Swiff D and also features BJ The Chicago Kid.

What I'm really looking forward to is that Mass Appeal compilation (which is Nasty's new imprint, with the  younger God emcee introducing and rhyming with signed artists such as Fashawn, Schoolboy, Jay Eectronica, Puha T, Goldlink, and more.  Sunce thee original release date was September 2, hoopefuly it will drop very oon. Aminng the highlights, at least on paper is a Nas solo cover of Gang Starr's classic "Mass Appeal", stay tuned for more info!

SCHOOLBOY Q / ALCHEMIST - "Break The Bank"

For his 2012 breakthrough album,, The Los Angeles emcee Schoolboy Q enlisted the production services of The Alchemist. "My Homies" was by far my favorite joint on that LP, and now the duo reunites for Q's next upcoming album "Oxymoron" which drops late next month. And yet again, it's a true banger that I would believe is one of the true standouts on the album as the chemistry is definitely there and they both really bring a lot of heat to the table. Alchemist / Danny Brown / Schoolboy Q - "Flight Confirmation"

Alchemist's been real heavy on the psychadelic mind-fuck music since the formation of Gangrene. Right now, the producer slash rapper is preparing his next solo album, "Russian Roulette". For the first single, he grabs Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q, who turns this monster of a beat into a winner. Who do you think will have the better album out this year between ALC and Oh No?
