GHOSTFACE x INS x U-GOD x MASTA KIL' x KILLA SIN

The fourth single from the super anticipated Ghostface (emcee)/Adrian Younge (producer)/RZA (exec.) is here as the album is soon out (April 16 for those with short memories). "Murder Spree" is by far the grittiest of the singles leaked yet, with Ghostface hooking up with half the Wu-Tang Clan (Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and U-God) and a rare and very welcome apperance from Killa Sin. As I'm really anticipating this like crazy, this will definitely be the last song I'll listen to before I get the chance to hear the complete album as 1/3 of it has already been given away as singles.

[Mixtape] PETER ROSENBERG x ECKO UNLIMITED Presents "New York Renaissance"

Peter Rosenberg knows good music and how to put a dope mixtape, that has been proven time and time again. His latest endeavor is in collaboration with Ecko Unltd called "The New York Renaissance", featuring some of the finest hip-hop artists that New York currently got to offer; you'll see names like Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, A$AP Rocky, Flatbush Zombies, Homeboy Sandman, and more, with production from cats such as Oddisee, Harry Fraud, and Dante Ross to name the more interesting. Check it out, there's definitely a bunch of bangers on here, though it's not, at least for me, the best front-to-back listen. Peep it below via DatPiff.

BLACK MILK - "Computer Ugly Ugly" / "Why Worry"

The always interesting Black Milk is releasing a new instrumental 12-track (!) EP entitled "Synth Or Soul" for Monday, April 15 (pre-order here, where you can also see the tracklist). Here he lets loose of the first two singles from the project; the opening track on Side A which is the Synth side ("Computer Ugly Ugly"), and the opening to Side B which is the Soul side. Check out both tracks below, both apperaing on the embeded Soundcloud page below.

FLYING LOTUS - "About That Time / A Glitch is a Glitch"

As I have stated several times over the passed year, Flying Lotus is one of my main inspirations at the moment as I've always been a big fan of experimental music and FlyLo is by far the one doing the most experimental while not totally abandoning his hip-hop roots. Besides fantastic recent albums like the Captain Murphy joint, "Until the Quiet Comes" and some of his loose productions, FlyLo has been producing theme music and things like that for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim series. Beside the original 30 second beat for the end credits of the channel's "Adventure Time", the Soundcloud link below also features an extended remix version called "About That Time / A Glitch is a Glitch". Love it or hate it, but give it a chance. Spotted @ OKP.

[Album] TREK LIFE - "Hometown Foreigner"

Mello Music Group signee Trek Life is back with "Hometown Foreigner", his third LP on the label and fifth overall. Unlike the majority of the skilled LA spitter's previous output, which had Oddisee behind the boards, the music on this release is made in collaboration with producer Duke Westlake. However, I'm sure the initiated fans of the man will have no problem adjusting to the new sound as Trek continues to spit engaging real life raps over sample based instrumentals, often favoring smooth melodies over hard, pounding drums. Guest apperances comes from the usual suspects like Oddisee, YU, Hezekiah, and more. The digital release of the LP is out now, and can be purchased @ Tunes, while the CD release isn't out until the 23:rd (pre-order @ UGHH); enjoy the free stream thanks to DJBooth below.

DJ Doom & Nutso Ft. Large Pro, El Da Sensei & Tony Touch - "It's Just Begun"

To celebrate the memory of the late Jimmy Castor who passed away around this time last year, DJ Doom and talented Queen's spitter Nutso join forces in the creation of their own homage to the #1 B-Boy anthem "It's Just Begun". The funk provided by Doom is definitely right on target and the performances by Large Professor, El Da Sensei, Tony Touch and DJ Tha Boss (on the cuts) are certain to grab your attention. Blunted Astronaut Records is releasing this joint as a limited 7" single which you can purchase via the embeded link below so "hurry up and buy".

K-DEF / J-Twice - "It's Going Down Sucka"

Continuing on the Slice-Of-Spice theme, for those of us who didn't have the $$ to purchase any or some of the K-DEF Signature Seven series, here's your chance to hear the second volume in it's entirety. Featuring an emcee who went by the name of J-Twice, this is a rare track produced by K-Def on his MPC sometime back in the '90s, which of course never saw an official release until now. To purchase K-Def's collaborations with Slice-Of-Spice, click here.

Remember a few days ago, I posted the Slice-Of-Spice Soundcloud sets of all the released Lord Finesse and K-Def vinyls, respecitvely on the label. Besides those legends, S-O-S have brought us a lot of amazing music, both new and rare/unreleased, from incredible artists like Masta Ace, Oxygen, AG, Damu The Fudgemunk, Gensu Dean, DJ Format, Paul Nice, Biz Markie, and more. [VIDEO] King Ramses - "Can't Let Go"

I think you all are familiar with the music of King Ramses by now, one of my personal favorites among the debuting artists of 2013. "Can't Let Go" is another single from the forthcoming digital release of "The Making Of Ramses" which will be out later this month. The vocal hook are provided by a girl called Drea who's doing a good job complimenting Ramses ruff voice.

Maffew Ragazino - "Bruce Leroy Glow"

Maffew Ragazino's been dropping fat single upon fat single since he broke through on the scene a couple of years back. The latest joint in the series is a tight jam called "Bruce Leroy Glow", saluting "The Last Dragon" and Taimak's Leroy. A question for y'all - any interest for a Maffew Ragazino compilation @ The Lost Tapes?
