SEAN PRICE - Rest in Peace

It's now been ten days since the shocking and trading news of one of the realest emcees to ever do it passed away in his sleep. This post and the upcoming compilation that hopefully will be up to night should have been up just a day after that tops, but I've had a lot of problems with my internet Connection with the internet Company shutting me off and Everything. But take my Word for this - from now on I will start to get back on track, with lots of ill compilations, focus on new Music from both underground legends and new up and comers, trying to get those Daily updates again. Since the news of Sean Price's unbelivable passing left me in a Daze, I've been blasting loads of incredible albums, guest spots and Music from BBC's finest. Rediscovering the greatness of his Three solo albums and his work with Heltah Skeltah. Either his passing came as a shock to him and his family or he was recording a lot of material since he knew his time was coming up. Why I say this is because apparantly P was racking up a lot of material to be released in 2015, starting out with a mixtape called "Songs in the Key Of P" which was supposed to drop this week to build up for his official fourth solo album, "Planet Apes". Now as if that wasn't enough he also has a full collaboration album recorded with the one and only Fizzy Womack a.k.a. Lil' Fame of M.O.P. From what I gather the album will be a mix of P solo tracks over Fizzy Wo beats and straight up mic collaborations.

 

One song each has been leaked from the solo mixtape and the solo album (with the title track from the latter being a PF Cuttin' banger) and are straight FIRE and can be heard above and below, respectively. Definitely stay tuned for more info on this Project and anything from the ones brokest rapper alive. And I'm also planning a Sean P compilation to drop today or tomorrow so be on the Watch out for that as well! But I want to pay my condolences to Another of hip hop's great fallen Soldiers - REST IN POWER P!

 

TIM DOG (1967-2013) R.I.P.

Yesterday we lost another iconic figure in our beloved hip-hop music. The controversial East Coast emcee is best remembered for his early '90a smash hit "Fuck Compton" and his banging debut and follow-up "Penicilin on Wax" and "Doe or Die", respectively. He also dropped a pretty dope album with Kool Keith as Ultra back in '96 that's well worth seeking out. Since then  things quieted down as far as Tim's musical endeavor. Besides his so-so return to the scene with his so-so "The Return" (2000) and the slightly better "BX Warrior" in 2008. The last years saw Tim Dog find himself in all kinds of trouble that fill no purpose being repeated here. Instead lets remember Timothy Blair for the brilliant music he brought us throughout the years.

Beastie Boys' MCA Dead at 47

Adam Yauch, also known as MCA of the Beastie Boys; legends, pioneers and innovators who always remained open  to push the envelope of this hip-hop game. Yauch was not only an emcee, but also played a damn good bass and produced with his brothers in his group. Back in 2009, the public learned about the artist's battle with cancer. After going through treatmeant, the word was that things started to look more positive, but unfortunately today he lost the battle and returned to the essence. Through his large catalouge, which includes amazing albums like "Check Your Head" and "Paul's Boutique", his legacy will continue to live on; Rest in peace Adam Yauch. Only the Good Die Young...

I learned that one of my closest brothers in this world has returned to the essence this morning, and while I'm certain that my man is in a better place now, the pain and missing of you is almost too much to bear. Kaddu [pictured on my right side below] (1984-2011), you was a stand-up guy if I ever know one and you'll be forever missed and I will always love you and keep you in my heart. Until we meet again... Rest in peace my beloved brother. One Love!

 

Rest in peace to Nate Dogg

 This is truly a sad, sad day for hip-hop as I just woke up and realized that we lost one of the illest and most unique voices we had. Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, better known to the world as the one and only Nate Dogg, passed yesterday at the age of 41 after years of struggling with health problems after he first suffered a stroke in late 2007. Ever since his voice was first heard on the classic debut albums of Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg and Warren G the West Coast sound had truly found the last missing piece in the puzzle and it's for damn sure it will never be the same again. Imagine tracks like "Regulate", "How Long Will They Mourn Me", "Xxplosive", "The Next Episode", "Deez Nuts", "It Ain't No Fun...", etc. without that pimping low bass voice blessing the beats. Rest in peace big man, you will be truly missed!
