AGALLAH x THE ALCHEMIST - "Identity Theft"

Both Agallah, p/k/a 8-Off and Alchemist are both known as prodcers and emcees. For Agallah's latest single from his "Red V" mixtape that's out now on iTunes, he's leaving all production duties to Alan while the latter leaves the entirety of the vocal parts to The Don Bishop himself. The record is another stunning New York themed banger that definitely got a shot at getting the streets moving, so make sure to peep the video above.

ALC & DOMO'S "NO IDOLS" Gets Vinyl Release!

Just as Dilated Peoples' ALC produced "Right & Exact" started blasting through my speakers, I stumbled across the cool news that Alchemist and Domo Genesis' "No Idols" is given a limited vinyl run. The album was originally released exclusively as a free digital download, and was instantly acclaimed by listeners. ALC's production on these 11 tracks is definitely some of his finest more recent material. The numbers of time I've listened to this speaks volumes to that considering I don't like Domo Genesis at all. Luckily, Action Bronson pops up two times, Earl Sweatshirt has three verses and the joint with Freddie Gibbs and Prodigy is straight up unbelivable! The vinyl pressing is limited to 1000 hand numbered copies, is released by Alchemist, and includes all the music found on the original release. If you missed out on the Mp3 release of "No Idols" the first time, it's never too late as I've added the link below. Order the LP @ UGHH (US) or HHV (Europe).

01. "Prophecy"
02. "Fuck Everybody Else"
03. "All Alone"
04. "Elimination Chamber" (Ft. Action Bronson & Earl)
05. "Power Ballad" (Ft. Smoke DZA)
06. "Me & My Bitch"
07. "Till Thee Angels Come" (Ft. Prodigy & Freddie Gibbs)
08. "Daily News" (Ft. Action Bronson, Earl, Spaceghost & Purp)
09. "Gamebreaker" (Ft. Earl Sweatshirt)
10. "The Feeling"
11. "No Idols" (Ft. Tyler The Creator)

DYNASTY x DJ PREMIER - "Street Music"

One of the most exciting tracks from DJ Premier's Year Round Records compilation "Get Used to Us" (2010) came from a young emcee by the name of Dynasty. Now the pair reunites for another street ready banger bearing the title "Street Music". Turns out that the Queens rhymester has been hard at work on her debut album which is dropping October 18 on Jakarta Records, "A Star in Life's Clothing".

[Sampler] REAL LIVE - "LOST BEATS" EP

Slice-Of-Spice and master producer K-DEF is teaming up for another round of hot plates, this time focusing on the '90s work with emcee Larry-O under the name Real Live. These sessions produced hard rhyming over some of my favorite K-Def beats on "The Turnaround: A Long Awaited Drama" (1996) which has since gone out of print. A couple of days back we got a taste with the previously unreleased joint "Keep It Movin'" as well as news/sampler/artwork for the release of the complete instrumentals of aforementioned album on a 2xLP set. Now the label up the ante with news on another Real Live related project to be released simultaneously. Titled "Lost Beats" the Extended Play 12" consists of previously unreleased 'Def instrumentals created for Larry-O and the Real Live album - all mastered from the original DAT tapes by the producer himself. Check out the free download "Been There, Done That" as well as the full sampler below, and head over to the Real Live section @ Slice-Of-Spice to purchase the different projects.

[Video] MARCO POLO / ORGANIZED KONFUSION - "3 O'Clock"

I'm still flabbergasted about the reunion of the Marco Polo sanctioned Organized Konfusion reunion single "3 O'Clock" which premiered on the web last week. Not only did Marco manage to get these guys in the studio for the first time in almost 15 years, but he got them together for the video shoot as you see above. Watch out for "Port Authority 2: Director's Cut" which will be available on November 12 via Soulspazm. Other guests include Blaq Poet, MC Eiht, King Tee, H. Stax, Talib Kweli, DJ Premier, AG, Pos Won, Masta Ace, Lil' Fame, Gangrene, Inspectah Deck, OC, and many more. Sickest tracklist I've seen in years, check it out and pre-order @ UGHH.

The Militia & Curtessy - "One"

If you didn't sleep on The Militia and Curtessy's thumping EP "Look What The Streets Made", you should be well informed that the duo means business when they are reuniting for a full-length invasion of the boom bap realms. The album will be made available on October 29 via DJBooth and of course heavily promoted @ The Lost Tapes. Until then make sure to check out the lead single "One", featuring Jamla producing emcee Khrysis who pops up for a guest verse. DOPE!

[Album] Blue Sky Black Death - "Glaciers"

Moving beyond the hot sounds of Brazil into more chillier soundscapes with Seattle duo Blue Sky Black Death and their new album "Glaciers". I haven't pressed play on this one yet, but I can tell you that I have HIGH expectations on this one. I especially want to give it up to the duo for allowing their new tracks to play for around 15 minutes, reminiscent of much of the best jazz fusion from the '70s. Especially with instrumental music, that I like to take me on a mental journey, I believe that it many times is necessary to let the music stretch out and really allow it room to breathe. Press play below.

[Album] KEV BROWN - "Brazil Dedication"

Kev Brown is a name who's contribution I'm always eager to hear when I see listed on an album sleeve. After hooking up with Redefinition Records and forming his Low Budget Records he has headed quality albums by Kaimbr, Quartermaine, and his own "Random Joints" and "South Africa Dedication". Now he's back with a new all-instrumental project that sounds interesting a hell, in fact a sort of sequel to the latter project. Inspired by a trip to Brazil, Brown has searched extensively for dope samples of Brazilian records to create the 10" LP "Brazil Dedication" that is out now. Grab it @ Redefinition!

[Album] ODDISEE - "The Beauty in All"

This is the first of three new albums from superbly talented producers of the early 2000 generation, so get ready for a night of heavy listening. First up is Low Budget/Diamond District representative Oddisee who packs another hard punch with his latest disc on Mello Music Group, called "The Beauty in All". As if that wasn't enough, the instrumental LP comes strapped with the brand new mixtape from 'See, which includes a collaboration with Trek Life and most excitingly a brand new cut by Diamond District! Stream the project below and follow the links to purchase the album o CD or digital. Or, pre-order the ice blue vinyl set.

MidaZ The Beast - "Will 2 Fly"

The third track to get the video treatment from MidaZ The Beast's "AU: Another Universe" is "Will 2 Fly", another ill cut that displays the marvelous chemistry between The Beast and his main producer IMAKEMADBEATS. Directed and edited by Varras Towers. Grab the album @ UGHH.
