7 years ago who would have thought that Willie The Kid would be the more prolific artist of the emcee brothers that also includes LA The Darkman (responsible for the low-key classic "Heist Of The Century" and not much more). In early 2014 WTK teamed up with Wu Elementz producer and one time Apollo Brown teacher Bronze Nazareth for the mindblowingly booming "The Living Daylights". [Album] BRONZE NAZARETH - "Food For Thought Vol. 3"

December is definitely shaping up to be one of the best Wu-Tang Clan related months in the years of music for several years. Whie I'm super hyped for the official Clan allbum "A Better Tomorrow" which drops on December 2; the album leaked yesterday in full and sounds as dope as I would've had hoped with real stellar verses and a good mix of the old and the new RZA/Wu sound. It really sounds great as a cohessive front-to-back listen. Then of course you got Ghostface's new concept album "36 Seasons" with impeccable live band The Revelations and producer Fizzy Womack, etc. is bound to be another powerful release, dropping the very same day on Tommy Boy nonteheless (kind of funny that both GFK and Wu dropped their respective new albums on the same date the last time around as well). 

Now official Wu-Elementz producer and Michigan emcee Bronze Nazareth returns with the third installment in his "Food For Thoughts", featuring Bronze's vintage soul heavy boom bap type sound that is sure to put the screwface oon a lot of the times. It's interesting to know that Bronze pretty much thought Apollo Brown everything he owned, even giving him his first equipment, and was part of the Wisemen at one point yet, despite the extreme similarities in their style, I don't think I've heard Brown shout on Bronze Nazareth on a record yet. "Thought For Food III" features Bronze's traditional hard hitting soulscapes over his ever improving lyricism and that ever growing flow and is definitely worth your time. Featuring cameos long time collaborations from peeps such as Willie The Kid, Wisemen and Lord Jesseiah. Willie The Kid and Bronze Nazareth has definitely been on their respective grinds these past few years, so the news that they were working on a full-length collaboration came as a real pleasant suprise to many. The resulting "The Living Daylights" is now available, and is something you without question will want to hear ASAP as it features Willie's typical hustle and grind lyrics over Bronze's Shaolin Soul chops, with guest spots from heavy hitters such as Roc Marciano, Sean Price, LA The Darkman, Sha Stimuli and Boldy James. Luckily, Noisey.com has got the go-ahead to premier the entire album as a free stream throught their Audiomack account, though the project of course is available for purchase @ iTunes as well. SICK!!

BRONZE NAZARETH / WTK Ft. Roc Marciano - "Avalon"

Another joint that dropped a few days ago which I haven't been able to post yet is the latest single from Willie The Kid's collaboration with Michigan/Killa Beez producer Bronze Nazareth. This one's called "Avalon", and just like the previous singles it's another sure shot, not least because of a vintage Roc Marciano apperance. Interesting to hear on Bronze's flip of that classic Ace "Dear Diary" sample. Originally premiered by Noisey, WTK's and Bronze's full-length "The Living Daylights" hits daylights on December 11 - this Tueday.

There's been a few singles here and there, always hot, but now the album is finished and has given the title "The Living Daylights" - to be released on February 11. Willie The Kid has really stepped out of his brother's shadow this last year with a string of knocking releases, most recently the highly rewind-worthy "Masterpiece Theater" EP with producer The Alchemist. Now, only a few months later The Kid is back with a full-length album, completely produced by critically acclaimed Wisemen member Bronze Nazareth. We've heard two tracks before that all sound pretty promising, but the latest single that was just premiered by Complex.com is in fact the fattest yet. Entitled "Delirium", the song features Willie lyrically sparring with no lesser spitters than Sean Price and Sha Stimuli over a vintage soul-chop-heavy Bronze Nazareth beat. I'm real happy that the EP is making a strong comeback these last couple of years, something I had been missing for some time in the era where rappers insisted on cramming their albums with filler and a 75 minutes long runtime. Alchemist has pretty much been the king of the EP lately, recording extremely stellar material for Action Bronson, Curren$y, ChrisCo, Domo Genesis, and most lately the straight up incredible EP with the talented street rapper Willie The Kid. The free six track project "Masterpiece Theater" was an incredible front-to-back listen with high replay value, and now the duo drops the first video from the project. "Let The Money Stay" is a good choice considering its a standout on an already superior record, so check out directors Tekh Togo and Ashley Triu's take on the track above.

Just a coupe of posts below this one I gave The Alchemist major props on the huge amount of Extened Plays and full-length LP's he's been blessing the public with as of late. Given that Alan sometimes end up giving some of his finest beats to rather wack rappers like Domo Genesis, it's a definite treat that his latest project is the anticipated collaboration with underrated vocalist Willie The Kid. The two earlier teasers, "Medusa" and "Halal Tuna" promised great things, and the aditional five cuts neither dissapoints or should make you think twice to pull up your wallet and purchase the full EP direct from the artists (link below the tracklist)..

Michigan producer and emcee Bronze Nazareth is definitely in a creative phaze right now; since he broke through on the scene in 2006 with "The Great Migration", his work with Wisemen, his "Food For Thought" projects and so forth, not to mention his recent knocker "School For The Blindman". Now the Wiseman is back at it again, with a double LP called "Food For Thought Vol. 3" which will be out on Man Bite Dogs Records later this year. What's great about this Project is that CD1 is a strictly Bronze Nazareth album while the second disc is a Bronze produced Willie The Kid album. The first single/video is "Blenders", but the one I'm really hyped for is the Willie the Kid collaboration... I only hope it gets a vinyl release and you can coun't on me being all over it!

On "Halal Tuna", Willie the Kid furiously attacks a dark, murky Alchemist beat that's as fine as anything he's done over the past year. And the greatest thing about this gripping collaboration is that it's just the beginning, with a full EP following in July - "Masterpiece Theater". Interesting video too, directed by John Boros.

Check out the video for "Waste Not, Want Not", The Alchemist produced heatrock from Willie The Kid's sick ass mixtape "The Cure II" that dropped a couple of months ago. This has to be one of my favorite WTK songs yet, the kid got skills and knows how to pick a nasty beat to display it over!

Ripping beats by the likes of Alchemist, Beat Butcha, MoSS, Lee Banon, Frank Dukes, Alchemist, Voon and Wu-brethren Bronze Nazareth, "The Cure 2" is a slamming new project that do Willie The Kid justice as an artist. As it's more of a street album than a regular mixtape this should be enough to hold us over until an actual retail album from The Kid. WTK is clearly a solid emcee and one of his greatest strengths is his ability to pick perfect beats to match his flow it seems; stuff that's dope on its own but also helps highlighting his vocal delivery and lyrical content. Willie The Kid hooks us up with a respectable banger on the second single from his upcoming "The Cure 2" EP. The track is produced by The Alchemist who utilizes a sample which reminds me of one of the theme songs from one of those '80s detective/action day time TV shows. Between this and the previous "The Guilt" I am sold for this project which is to be available in digital format on November 24 (Thanksgiving).

Following their team-up on Bronze's recent "School For The Blindman", the Wu Elementz producer serves Willie The Kid another heatrock to spit on. "The Guilt" is the first leak from W.T.K.'s forthcoming EP "The Cure 2" which besides Bronze also will feature collabos with Alchemist, LA The Darkman, Styles P, Cory Gunz, Lee Bannon and Detroit Red. The digital only release is set for Thanksgiving which is November 24.
