Can you believe that it's now been four years since the tragic passing of Keith "GURU" Elam? Forever one of my favorite artists and the work he did with DJ Premier as Gang Starr has truly made him immortal. Although they did release their debut album "No More Mr. Nice Guy" in 1989 it was really with "Step in the Arena" that the Gang Starr saga truly began. In this press kit video seen above a young Premier and Guru discuss the creation of the now classic LP as well as featuring clips from live shows and in-studio sessions. A true gem in other words! As a little bonus I uploaded a HQ rip of the original 12" version of "Just to Get A Rep", the one with the extra GURU verse that was missing from the LP for some reason.
