Rock Mecca, the talented Queens spitter of the underground, has been featured on The Lost Tapes several times and he always delivers the heat. This time he returns with a hardboiled, yet soulful, banger entitled "One Man Gang", produced by Jake Palumbo for Spacelab Records. If you've been folloing The Lost Tapes the last couple of years, the name Rock Mecca sholuld definitely be on your radar. Thrrough the last couple of years, New York emcee Roc Mecca has been making noise on the underground circuit. The full-length "Pirate Radio Star"  has been in the works for quite some time, and on August 14 the album was released as a digital download via Bsndcsmp. Now Crate Scienze has picked up the project, which means it should be out in a more official capacity soon enough. Very solid stuff ineed; and already now you can stream the entire pject below.

Queens' artist Rock Mecca drops off the third single from his forthcoming debut album "Pirate Radio Star". The song is another dope cut representative of the music on the disc, and is called "Alone Out There". The album has not yet a confirmed release date but word is that it will be out sooner rather than later.

Rock Mecca is a new emcee from Queens, NY who is about to drop his debut album "Pirate Radio Star" in March of this year. "Top Of the World"´follows "New York Noise" / "Runnin' Runnin'"as the second single from the project and gives us a nice taste of what this man and his music are about. Rock Mecca is a new up-and-coming emcee hailing from Queens, New York. Mecca is currently preparing his debut album "Pirate Radio Star", building up his hype via ill singles and if you ask me he's worth keeping an eye on. Judging by the two singles below, his love for vintage and gritty East Coast hip-hop shines through while he's also making a point of maintain his own identity.

At the moment Mecca is working on building a buzz through the ill singles in orer to promote the forthcoming LP. "Runnin' Runnin'" is my favorite and is also the newest single, a song that "cleverly flips a classic Hip Hop interlude into a certified heater".
