[Album] ASPECTS - "Grind Over Matter"

Over hardcore bangers from the production team of Snowgoons (DJ Illegal, Det, Sicknature, J.S., Kuster) Canada's ill spitting Aspects links up with a star-filled team including Ghostface, MOP, Raekwon, Killah Priest, Armageddon, Bizzy Bone, Sheek Lounch, Punchline, Hussein fatal and more. "Grind Over Matter" is in other words definitely an action-packing album which is out now on digital, while CD:s will follow on September 9 (pre-order @ UGHH). ASPECTS / GHOSTFACE KILLAH /CODY - "What You Get Now"

Emcee Aspects is preparing to release his new album "Grind Over Matter" on September 9, which sees the artist team up with Ghostface, Raekwon, Killah Priest, Billy Danze and M.O.P. (on separate cuts), Punchline, Hussein Fatal, Sheek Louch and many more; all entirely produced by The Snowgoons. For the first single/video we get "What You Get Now", a tight jam featuring a killer verse by Ghostface Killah. Pre-order the CD and check the tracklist @ UGHH.

ONYX Ft. Dope D.O.D. - "WakeDaFuckUp"

Onyx is back! And though I had kinda lost faith in the group after pretty much every album since 1999:s "Shut 'Em Down", recent solo releases from Fredro Starr has really reinstated my faith in this early hardcore group. Their first single as a group in quite some time is a boom banger entitled "#WakeDaFuckUp" and is produced by German production team The Snowgoons (a group that to me is very hit or miss; for example I dug their stuff with M.O.P. but their recent LP with PMD was a real dissapointment). This is pretty slamming though, and The Goons and Onyx distinctly rugged styles goes well together... Stay tuned for more info on a forthcoming Onyx album!

SNOWGOONS - "Fast Food Nation" / "Still Real & Raw"

I'm a bit torn about The German production team The Snowgoons, as they had released some really dope music over the years, but at other times they have been responsible for repetitive, uninspired music that I wouldn't even consider giving a second play. Most recently they released their fully produced PMD vehicle featuring Sean Strange that for me stands as one of the most dissapointing releases of 2013. However I did like parts of their "Black Snow" compilation and their "Sparta" album for M.O.P. (though in the Brownsville duo's extended catalouge it stands as theír most uninteresting release to date). 

Now the team is releasing the second installment in their "Black Snow" series, featuring powerful American emcees such as Billy Danze, Ill Bill, Demigodz, Styles P, Reef The Lost Cause, Onyx, Dilated¨s Rakaa, Papoose, Kool G Rap, Nature, Raekwon, Tech 9ine, Akrobatik, Crooked I, Virtuoso, Rasco, and many more. Q-Unique of The Arsonists (the second track of him I post of him here today) is featured on the solo song "Fast Food Nation", while "Still Real & Raw" (which is a sequel to the Snowgoons remix of M-Dot's "The Real & The Raw" featuring Jaysaun) again featuring Jaysaun, M-Dot and Detroit's Joruanlist 103 of The Left. You can hear both tracks below in wait for the official release date of January 21, 2014 and pre-order the CD or 2xLP set of "Black Snow 2" @ UGHH.

SNOWGOONS Ft. STYLES P & GENOVESE - "These Streets"

The German based production unit known as Snowgoons just released their "Black Snow 2" project the other day. The tracklist is filled with some of NY's and the US finest emcees going at it over The Goons' agressive production work, and following the title track single with Ill Bill, Celph Titled, Apathy and Sicknature, the choice for second single has landed on "Walk These Streets". The song features an especially impressive performance from Styles P as well as an apperance from Genovese, and is definitely a decent cut though I think that there's definitely better joints on the album to release as singles tbh.

Following the dark boom-bap infused sounds of their collaborations with M.O.P., PMD, and Virtuoso, German based production Quartet The Snowgoons sounds rejuvinated and returns with the seuqel to their most beloved Project yet - "Black Snow". Self-released on their Goon Music imprint, the mood is constantly dark, the rhythm is agressive and the samples are haunting with guest features that will definitely have your jaw drop. The album is officially released on December 13 (with a lot of other nice LP:s). As with previous of the crew's production compilations, the guest list is definitely on the heavy side and judging by the long album sampler above these guys are soundign incredible over this type of production. Germany based production team The Snowgoons rounds up ILLBILL, Celph Titled, Apathy and Danmark 'goon for the title track from the upcoming "Black Snow 2" project. As expected this is some hard ass stuff and the featured emcees sounds just about perfect over this type of agressiveness. The LP is set to be released on December 13, pre-orders will be available soon and word is that the iTunes version will carry three bonus tracks!

Since his split with Erick Sermon, living legend PMD has been behind several interestinng projects in his own name during the years; from superb solo albums like "Shade Business" and "The Awakening" to full collaborations with DJ Honda. After the half-succesful reuion of EMPD., Parrish is now again back on his own, this time backed up by German production crew The Snowgoons, who not too long ago gave M.O.P. their "Sparta", and rapper Sean Strange on a full-length titled "Welcome to the Goondox". As far as I know, only two tracks has been leaked in promotion for the album which is out today. "Snowgoons Dynasty" is the title of German production crew The Snowgoon's new album which drops on July 17. As usual, in cases with The Goons, the tracklist is stacked with dope guest emcees which warrants me to at least give it a listen. I'm really feeling the single "The Cypher" featuring Tony Starks and Killah Priest, who both sounds great over this beat, along with Aspects and Swisha T.

M.O.P. / SNOWGOONS - "Get Yours"

Yessir!! Danze and Fame presents the first real single from "SPARTA", their forthcoming album which is fully produced by The Snowgoons. This shit goes HARD, November 22 can't come fast enough - this is an automatic buy.

Reef The Lost Cauze / Snowgoons

Last year Reef The Lost Cauze hooked up with production duo Guns-N-Butter (Stu Bangas & J Scrilla) to release the slamming "Fight Music" LP. With no intention of slowing things down, for 2011 Reef has enlisted German producers Snowgoons to help him create another banging album in "Your Favorite MC". The release will be available everywhere on Tuesday, though UGHH.com already started shipping yesterday. The track below is lifted from the LP and features Outerspace on guest vocals, and while you're listening check out the tracklist here. Next in line for Snowgoons is, as you should know, their collaboration with M.O.P. called "Sparta" which I personally can't wait for!
